Box Score GEORGETOWN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team went down 8-1 visiting the Southwestern Pirates on Friday in Georgetown.
 
The Cowgirls took one match from the Pirates with a withdrawal in the sixth singles flight for a Cowgirl win for Halle Smith.
 
Brenna Gordon went to a 12^th game in the third singles flight and fell 7-5, 6-0 to Wahl of Southwestern.
 
Triniti McBride battled back to drop a tiebreaker in the second set to Gracia 6-1, 7-6(7-2) in the fourth flight of singles for Hardin-Simmons.
 
The Cowgirls fall to 8-7 with an ASC matchup at Concordia Texas on Saturday in Round Rock at 2 p.m.
