ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team hosted the first day of the Cowboy Classic on Friday at the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
 
Hardin-Simmons invited Division II teams Dallas Baptist, St. Mary's Texas, and UT Permian Basin to play in random draw singles and doubles for the weekend tournament in Abilene.
 
The Cowboys got wins from Brandon Curiel, Paxton O'Shea, Maddux Foster, and Nick Boquet against the DII opponents.
