SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team began playing in the ITA Division III Women's Southwest Regional Championships on Thursday afternoon hosted by Trinity University.
 
The Cowgirls will compete all weekend in singles and doubles competition across multiple levels of brackets and consolations.
 
Hardin-Simmons had seven Cowgirls compete in the opening round of the championship singles bracket on Thursday.  
 
A Singles:
Sydney Tomlin (HSU) lost to Rith Hill (Trinity) 6-2, 6-2
Triniti McBride (HSU) lost to Helaina Reynoso (Southwestern) 6-0, 6-3
Addyson Tylaska (HSU) def. Adrianna Kozakiewicz (Southwestern) 6-3, 6-3
Brenna Gordon (HSU) def. Jayde Childress (ETBU) 7-5, 6-2
Jonnah Smith (HSU) lost to Kimberly Duncan (Southwestern) 6-1, 4-6, (10-4)
Laurel Coleman (HSU) def. Alexa Nunez (Southwestern) 6-1, 6-1
Taylor Levy (HSU) def. McKenzie Carroll (MCM) 6-1, 6-0
