SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team had Sydney Tomlin defeat the No. 9 seed and No. 6 seed in the A singles consolation to advance to the finals on Sunday at the ITA Southwest Regional hosted at Trinity.
 
Tomlin defeated Lydia Lee (Southwestern) 6-4, 6-4 and then won against Jenna Vincent (MCM) 6-4, 6-3. She will play Allison Vo (Trinity) on Sunday at 9 a.m. for the championship singles consolation final.
 
Halle Smith lost in the B singles semifinal 2-6, 6-2, (13-11) to Rebeca Almanza (UMHB).
 
Allison Goggans defeated Cowgirl Lexy Dunham 6-1, 6-1 and won against Jylian Phillips (MCM) 6-4, 6-0 in the C singles final.
 
Goggans/Heseman won 8-7(7-2) against Phillips/Ramirez (LETU) before falling to Macquet/Ruiz Burkart (ETBU) 8-4 in the B doubles semifinals.
