Box Score MARSHALL, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team won 4-0 at East Texas Baptist on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Cowgirls scored quickly with a goal from
Gabby Aviles in the fifth minute with an assist from
Lexi Templin.
Aviles scored her second goal of the night with another assist from Templin in the 11
th minute to get the Cowgirl lead to 2-0.
Templin added to her two assists with a goal in the 16
th minute courtesy of an Aviles assist to make it 3-0 Hardin-Simmons.
Julie Atlason scored her first goal of the season in the 44
th minute thanks to a
Beasley Floyd assist to get the Cowgirls up 4-0 for what would be the final score.
Aviles is up to six goals on the season and five assists while Templin also has six goals on the season after the win at ETBU.
The Cowgirls won to improve to 7-1-2 and 2-0 in ASC play with a big conference game at home next Thursday night at 5 p.m. at the HSU Soccer Complex against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
