ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team began hosting the Big Country Classic individual tennis tournament on Friday at the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
 
The field for this weekend includes teams from Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne, McMurry, and Mary Hardin-Baylor. The first round of doubles was played Thursday night with singles competitions beginning Friday.
 
The Big Country Classic continues at the Streich Tennis Center on Saturday at 9 a.m. hosted by Hardin-Simmons.
