GEORGETOWN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy cross country team finished in sixth place at the Southwestern University Showdown 8k on Saturday.
Hardin-Simmons competed with runners from Dallas Baptist, Southwestern, Texas Running Club, Trinity, Dallas, Schreiner, Concordia, and UNT-Dallas.
Noah Bela had the best mark for HSU with an 8k of 27:46 finishing 17
th out of 88 runners.
Nathan Oxte came in 28
th with a 28:46.
Tate Strange ran a 29:05 and
Aiden Seekins ran 29:37, while
Carlos Alvarado ran a race of 35:56.
Austin Seekins and Zach Strange also ran for the Cowboys at Southwestern.
Hardin-Simmons will have a week off from running at a meet before the ASC Cross Country Championship on Nov. 1 hosted by Hardin-Simmons in Abilene.
