ABILENE, Texas – Senior
Aly Navarro shot an 80 and is in sixth place overall at the Abilene Intercollegiate at the par-71, 6,009-yard Live Oak Golf Club in Abilene.
Addison Payne,
Allison McGinnis and
Shay West each shot 83 for the Cowgirls.
Ariana Chavez finished with an 87 as the toss out score.
Julia Hughes led three Cowgirls playing as an independent with an 87.
Abby Shumate shot 101 and
Kahlan Green finished with a 102.
The Cowgirls are currently in second place as a team after shooting a 329. Southwestern is in the lead after shooting a 319. East Texas Baptist is third at 334, Schreiner is one shot back in fourth, Concordia is fifth at 340, McMurry is sixth at 351 and Centenary is seventh at 363.
Sydney Jackson of Southwestern and Madisyn Davis of East Texas Baptist each shot 77 and are tied for the individual lead.
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
