ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Howard Payne on Saturday night at the HSU Soccer Complex.
The Cowboys out-shot the Yellow Jackets 43-10, including a 15-7 advantage in shots on goal. However, Howard Payne goalkeeper Adrian Villa turned in an outstanding performance with 14 saves to secure the shutout.

th minute and finished off with a second goal in the 71
st minute to take the game 2-0.
For Hardin-Simmons, senior forward
James Webb led the offensive pressure with ten shots, three of which were on goal. Midfielder
Benny Lube added five shots, while defenders
Luis Lemus and
Edwin Macias each contributed multiple attempts. Goalkeeper
Carson Null recorded five saves in the match.
Hardin-Simmons moves to 3-6-1 overall and 0-1-1 in American Southwest Conference play. The Cowboys will look to bounce back when they travel to face Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday, October 11 in Belton, Texas at 7:30 p.m.
