ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team led by head coach

Austin Wills will take a trip to San Antonio on Saturday to play the Trinity Tigers at 4 p.m. in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Cowboys took home the 2025 ASC championship with a win in penalty kicks 5-3 after a 1-1 draw with the UMHB Crusaders. HSU has now won the ASC championship two years straight and will head back to the NCAA Tournament with the automatic bid.
Last season, the Cowboys had a first-round NCAA match against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears, who won 3-0 over Hardin-Simmons. This year, HSU will match up with host school Trinity in the first game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Cowboys played the Tigers to a 2-0 defeat earlier this season in September and look forward to another shot against Trinity. Hardin-Simmons battled back from some tough losses early in the season and have gone 3-0-2 over the last month of play, including a tie in the ASC championship which the Cowboys won in PKs.

Benny Lube has eight assists, leading the team and the American Southwest Conference.
Carson Null was named the ASC championship tournament MVP at goalkeeper for the Cowboys as a senior.
Hardin-Simmons will play Trinity at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the opening-round match in San Antonio. The winner of the HSU/Trinity game will play the winner of Texas Lutheran and Whitman, scheduled to play at 6 p.m. Saturday night. The second round of the NCAA Tournament at Trinity will take place on Sunday at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the NCAA Tournament games hosted by Trinity will be available at the gate for $6 general admission, $3 for students and senior citizens, and $2 for children ages 3-12. Parking will be free and available at and around the Trinity University campus.
