LEXINGTON, Ky. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl volleyball had
Abbi Allen named an NCAA Division III All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), announced on Wednesday.
Abigail was the first Cowgirl volleyball all-region selection since 2015, where she earned first-team all-region as a right-side hitter for HSU in a vote by the region head coaches for the 2025 season. Allen has now been named to the All-American Honorable Mention team by the AVCA and joins four other Cowgirl volleyball players in the program history that have been named All-Americans a total of seven times.

Kendall Crisp said this about Allen, "I could not be more proud of Abbi and everything that she has accomplished during her time at HSU. She has been a driving force for our team. Her hard work, dedication, and loyalty to this team has been such a blessing and I am so thankful to the AVCA for her recognition. Abbi has been with our team for 5 years and got better every year she played. More importantly than her skill, Abbi has been a fantastic teammate and friend to all. She has made an impact on Cowgirl Volleyball for years to come."
Allen is a graduate senior right-side hitter from Coleman, Texas and was named first-team all-American Southwest Conference for the second time in her career in 2025. She averaged 2.12 kills a set with 212 kills for the Cowgirls on 569 total attacks, for a hitting percentage coming in at .250 on the season. She also finished ranked No. 31 in the nation for Division III volleyball with 1.09 blocks a set, finishing with 109 total blocks on the year to lead her team.
Abigail had this to say, "I'm feeling extremely blessed to receive this award, and I'm grateful to have had the best team and coaches pushing me every step of the way. With this being my last season as a Cowgirl, it's an amazing feeling to know that all the hard work behind the scenes has paid off. It has been a privilege to be part of the Hardin-Simmons volleyball team for the past five years, and it's an incredible honor to receive this recognition."
Abbi Allen (2025) joins Kaela Parnell (2008 & 2009), Chelsie Fowler (2009), Madison Reyes (2011 & 2012), and Corrie Hall (2015) as the fifth Hardin-Simmons volleyball All-American.
