KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer forward Benny Lube was named to the United Soccer Coaches all-region third team for the 2025 season.
 
Lube transferred to Hardin-Simmons as a graduate senior in 2025 after undergraduate years playing soccer at UT-Dallas. He was named captain for the Cowboys and started 17 games at forward, helping the Cowboys win their second ASC championship in a row as an ASC all-tournament player.
 
Lube was named first-team all-ASC at forward for Hardin-Simmons after finishing the season with three goals and eight assists. He converted a penalty kick in the ASC championship to help the Cowboys advance over Mary Hardin-Baylor and reach the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.
 
Lube joins the list of career Cowboy soccer all-region selections, most recently including Maxwell Winneker and Jakob Fiol from the 2024 ASC champion team.
