Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team dropped a pair of matches to Division II schools Texas Wesleyan 6-1 and Texas A&M Texarkana 7-0 on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center.
 
The Cowboys got a big win from Nick Boquet in singles against Texas Wesleyan. He took down Elliot Hoffman after falling behind in a 3-6, 7-6(7-2), 6-0 win at No. 2 singles.
 
The Cowboys took a doubles match from the Rams with Gavin Hail and Zach Fowler winning 6-3, but lost the doubles point on the other two matches.
 
The Cowboys went down 6-1 to Texas Wesleyan but had two more split sets in singles with two total tiebreakers in the match.
 
Hardin-Simmons went in order 7-0 to Texarkana in the afternoon. The Cowboys competed well swinging up a weight-class with four tiebreakers and three split sets, coming from Boquet and Maddux Foster in doubles and Brandon Curiel and Jordan Oberbillig in singles action.
 
Hardin-Simmons drops to 3-5 on the season and will travel to play at East Texas Baptist on March 7 at 10 a.m.
