ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball player
Jacqueline Berry was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region team and Region 10 Rookie of the Year.
Berry was named to the all-region 10 second team at guard after a productive freshman campaign. She was named all-ASC first team, the ASC Freshman of the Year, and to the ASC all-defensive and all-freshman teams.
Berry led the American Southwest Conference in scoring in her first year with 13.9 points a game while shooting 45 percent. She was second in rebounding in the conference, averaging seven rebounds a game. She also led the ASC in steals with 63. Berry's 376 points passed
Parris Parmer's total for the most ever scored by a Cowgirl freshman.
