ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball player
Jacqueline Berry was named the 2025 D3hoops.com national Rookie of the Year, chosen by the D3hoops.com staff out of the all-region selections.
Berry was named the D3hoops.com national Rookie of the Year after being nominated as the top freshman in region 10. She was chosen by the D3hoops.com staff as the national Rookie of the Year when matched up with all other Division III region's top female freshmen.
Berry led the Cowgirls and the American Southwest Conference in scoring as a freshman, averaging 13.9 points a game. She set the record for points by a Hardin-Simmons' freshman with 376 and was named all-ASC first team, all-defensive, all-freshman, and was the ASC Freshman of the Year.
