ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy and Cowgirl basketball teams combined for six student-athletes named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators.
The Cowgirls had four members honored for their work in the classroom,
Kylie Ellsworth,
Aiken Semones,
Kynnan Shields, and
Madison Williams. To be eligible, the players must have had a career GPA greater than 3.50.
The Cowboys had two named to the Academic All-District team,
Austin Brewer and
Asher Fleming. Brewer was tabbed as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-American award ballot, which will be voted on and released in a few weeks.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
