Helm Records in Cowboy Outdoor High Jump at Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' had a record performance from junior Cowboy Gunner Helm in the outdoor high jump at Trinity University on Saturday afternoon.
 
Helm won the meet high jump with a clear of 6-11 ft. on his first attempt for Hardin-Simmons. He breaks the record of 6-10 ¾ ft. set by Garret Rothans in 2024.  
 
Katie Baller had a top finish for the Cowgirls in the high jump with a clear of 5-2 ½ ft. She placed fourth overall at the Trinity meet for HSU.
 
Sophie Hale had a top finish for Hardin-Simmons in the triple jump with a mark of 32-1 ½ ft. She placed ninth in the field.  
 
Markus Stone led the Cowboys with a triple jump of 39-6 ¾ ft. Stone finished No. 7 in the triple jump on Saturday.
 
Jacqueline Berry led the Cowgirls in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.28 to place tenth in the standings at Trinity.
 
Adan Santoyo finished ninth as well in the 400m dash for the Cowboys with a time of 49.15.
 
Kylah Washington was second overall in a field of 40 runners in the 100m dash. Washinton ran a 100m in 12.30 for the Cowgirls.
 
Aiden Seekins took third place in the Trinity Invitational men's 3k steeplechase. Seekins came in at 10:30 for Hardin-Simmons.
 
Hardin-Simmons track will travel to San Angelo, Texas starting April 4 for the David Noble Relays hosted at Angelo State.
