SEGUIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy soccer team fell 2-0 playing at the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Friday night in the season opener.
 
TLU scored one in the 13^th minute and a goal in the 44^th minute for an eventual 2-0 final score.
 
The Cowboys finished with six shots and two shots on goal and the Bulldogs had seven shots with five shots on goal in the game. Hardin-Simmons led with four corner kicks earned and allowed only three from TLU.
 
Carson Null started in goal for the Cowboys and went full time with a pair of saves in the loss.
 
Hardin-Simmons dropped to 0-1 and will continue opening weekend playing against Schreiner on Saturday hosted at UMHB in Belton at 4 p.m.
