ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team finished the Big Country Classic on Saturday with 14 matches split between doubles and singles competition.
 
The Cowboys won seven doubles matches and 19 different singles matches over the course of Friday playing at the HSU Streich Tennis Center and some matches played at McMurry.
 
Hardin-Simmons played against players from fellow ASC school East Texas Baptist on Saturday and won two doubles matches and four singles matches.
 
Payne Smith and Maddux Foster both won all of their singles matches for the Cowboys on the weekend against Howard Payne, Mary Hardin-Baylor, and East Texas Baptist.
 
The Cowboys will compete next weekend back in Abilene at the Cowboy Classic beginning Friday at the Streich Tennis Center.
