ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team began the Big Country Classic playing in 38 total matches on Friday against Mary Hardin-Baylor, McMurry, and Howard Payne.
 
The Cowboys won seven doubles matches and 19 different singles matches over the course of Friday playing at the HSU Streich Tennis Center and some matches played at McMurry.
 
Hardin-Simmons will continue the Big Country Classic on Saturday in Abilene with doubles and singles matches against players from East Texas Baptist beginning at 9 a.m.
