KERRVILLE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy cross country team ran and placed third in the Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational hosted by Schreiner on Saturday morning.
Hardin-Simmons placed third of eight teams at the 8k race. HSU had an average time of 28:02 and had 53 points to trail the top two teams with 53 points each, Southwestern and Texas A&M International.
Noah Bela placed sixth overall at Schreiner on Saturday in the 8k for the Cowboys. He ran a time of 27:18.
Aiden Seekins came in at eighth place on the day with a finish of 27:38 for Hardin-Simmons.
Three more Cowboys came in at 13
th, 14
th, and 15
th place, respectively.
Tate Strange ran a 28:22 8k,
Nathan Oxte ran a 28:25 race, and
Zack Strange finished at 28:26.
Austin Seekins finished the 8k in 34:59 for HSU.
The Cowboys will run at Hill College in Hillsboro on September 26.
