KERRVILLE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl cross country team ran at the Schreiner Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational on Saturday morning.
 
HSU competed against teams including Mary Hardin-Baylor, Sul Ross State, Concordia Texas, Dallas, Schreiner, Texas A&M International, and Southwestern.
 
Jasmin Mendez led the Cowgirls in the 6k race with a seventh-place finish. Mendez came in at 24:55 for HSU.
 
Abigail Cox placed 13^th overall at Schreiner with a race of 26:09 for the Cowgirls.
 
Hope Fuentes ran a time of 28:51 on Saturday and Alexis Heckathorn finished in 33:32. Faith Miller competed at Schreiner as well for the Cowgirls.
 
Hardin-Simmons will run at Hill College in Hillsboro on September 26.
