ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy and Cowgirl tennis teams opened the Cowboy Classic on Friday at the Streich Tennis center with singles and doubles matches against players from Division II Western New Mexico and NAIA school Texas Wesleyan.
 
The Cowgirls had a big win from Allie Dunn in singles. The Cowboys finished with six wins swinging up a division. Devin Simmons, Jameson Sorrell, Pedro Rozani, Kayden Lengacher, and Payne Smith all ended Friday with a win in singles.
 
Hardin-Simmons will continue the action on Saturday at the Streich Tennis Center in Abilene.
