HILLSBORO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl cross country team ran at the Hill Cross Country Classic 5k on Friday night.
 
Jasmin Mendez ran a 5k of 20:59 and placed 22^nd in the race for the Cowgirls.
 
Abigail Cox finished the 5k in 22:26, Hope Fuentes ran a 25:01, and Alexis Heckathorn came in with a time of 26:35 in the race.
 
The Cowgirls will run at Dallas Baptist University in Dallas on October 11.
