CAPITAL, Ohio – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team tied 1-1 with the Capital Comets on the road in Ohio Sunday afternoon.
The two teams ended the first 45 minutes of play with no score. Capital came out with a goal in the 52
nd early in the second half and led until the Cowgirls scored to tie in the 81
st minute.

Tatum Barnett scored her second goal of the season in timely fashion to save the day and make it a 1-1 final score in the tie for Hardin-Simmons at Capital on Sunday.
Hardin-Simmons shot 12 times with five shots on goal and Capital shot 17 times with six shots on goal. The Comets finished with six corner kicks and HSU ended with four corner kicks.

Samantha Longoria started the second half as goalkeeper and had three saves with one allowed in the no decision.
The Cowgirls finished the weekend 2-0-2 with two hard-fought ties at Ohio Wesleyan and Capital and will travel to play at Trinity in San Antonio, Texas on Friday at 6 p.m.
