IRVING, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team shot a 331 and is in second place at the UD Invite in Irving.
The Cowgirls trail Our Lady of the Lake University by three strokes and they lead LeTourneau by three strokes.
Shay West shot a 76 to lead the Cowgirls and she is one stroke out of the medalist lead, which is held by Kendal Ward of OLLU.
Addison Payne shot an 81 and is in sixth place. Allison McGiinnis shot an 86,
Ariana Chavez had an 88 and
Julia Hughes fired a 96.
The teams will conclude the spring-opening tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday.
