IRVING, Texas – Windy conditions played havoc with scores in the second round of the UD Invite at Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving on Tuesday.
The Cowboys finished in 10
th place in the 13-team field after shooting a 351 on Tuesday. HSU finished the tournament with a 325-351-676.
McMurry won the event with a 317-321-638 by one stroke over Swarthmore College. LeTourneau and Southern Nazarene were three strokes out of first.
Tyler Merchant fired his second straight 76 and he finished in third place overall. Dawson Dunlap of Southern Nazarene shot 69-77-146 to claim the title by three shots over Dylan Zhang of Swarthmore.
Keaton Blume shot 79-93-172,
Kade Burton shot 86-89-175,
Jake Koeninger shot 84-93-177 and
Riley Ellison finished with an 86-93-179.
The Cowboys return to action March 9-10 at the Space City Classic in Houston.
