3/16/2026 10:52:00 AM

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl basketball sophomore Jacqueline Berry was named the Most Outstanding Player for Region 10 by D3hoops.com, announced on Monday.

Berry adds to her collection of awards for 2025-26 as the reigning American Southwest Conference Player of the Year. The second-year forward out of Texhoma, Oklahoma was named first-team D3hoops.com All-Region 10, first-team all-ASC, ASC all-defensive team, and was the ASC championship tournament MVP.

Berry averaged 15.1 points a game, scoring 20 or more points eight times, including at No. 1 NYU in the NCAA Sweet 16. She averaged 6.7 rebounds a game, added 84 assists, and came away with 76 steals and 23 blocks on the year.

The 2025-26 D3hoops.com All-Region teams have been announced.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 797 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to a number of SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.

It's the 25th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.

The regional Rookie of the Year award honors the top freshman in each region, while D3hoops.com also names a regional Coach of the Year.

Division III basketball is organized into 10 regions. A region with 40 teams or more has three All-Region teams honored, while a region with fewer than 40 teams has a first and second team. This organization results in approximately 10 additional players being recognized when compared to full seasons in the old eight-region alignment.

Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams. The women's basketball All-America team will be released March 21, at the national championship game, and the men's basketball All-America team will be released in the following week.
