DALLAS, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy basketball team head coach
Matt Brackett was named the 2025-26 ASC men's basketball Coach of the Year, and six total Cowboys recieved end of the year honors, announced by the conference office after a vote of the league head coaches and sports information directors.
Junior guard
Silas Davis was named the ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year for men's basketball and
Jared Cox was named the ASC Co-Freshman of the Year for Hardin-Simmons.
Coach Brackett and his staff include assistants
Maverick Harris, Randy Thompson, Zach Pickelman, Will Bartoszeck, and Payden Kemp. The Cowboys finished as the ASC regular season champs and hosted the ASC championship tournament in Abilene.
Junior
Chris Bryant was named first-team all-ASC at forward for the Cowboys. Bryant led the team with 15.1 points a game, ranking fifth in the ASC. He was also fourth in the conference in rebounds with 6.7 a game. Bryant finished with 54 assists, 20 steals, and led the league with 48 blocks.
Two more Cowboys were named to the all-ASC second-team.
Tyler Williams scored 11.9 points a game at forward and he finished with 135 rebounds, 61 assists, 38 steals, and 13 blocks.
Asher Fleming was named second-team all-ASC for Hardin-Simmons, averaging 12.1 points a game at forward. He added 122 rebounds, 59 assists, and 17 steals on the year. Fleming was named to the ASC all-tournament team for the Cowboys with a career-high 30 points in the semifinal win.
Junior transfer
Myles Amason was named to the ASC all-defensive team in his first year at Hardin-Simmons. He played in all 27 games with 47 blocks and 7.2 points a game.
