HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team fell 4-0 to the Shenandoah University Hornets playing a neutral game at Hilton Head, S.C. for spring break on the East coast.
The final three matches of the competition were unfinished. Hardin-Simmons took one of three doubles matches, with a win from
Maddux Foster and
Kayden Lengacher 6-4 at flight two.
Payne Smith and
Gabriel Harris lost 5-7 in flight one doubles, and
Brandon Curiel and
Pedro Rozani went down 4-6 in three doubles.
Harris went down 1-6, 6-1, 0-1 (8-10) in the third flight singles against Beasley, and Foster dropped the second flight singles match 4-6, 4-6 to Tokas. Smith dropped the first flight singles match 3-6, 4-6 to Suwack of Shenandoah for the 4-0.
The Cowboys fell to 5-3 on the year and will play Carroll University at 11:30 a.m. central on Monday in Hilton Head, S.C.
