WHITNEY, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team finished in third place in the West Region Invitational, which was played at the White Bluff Resort in Whitney.
The Cowgirls shot a 669 and finished in third place behind Trinity (633) and Mary Hardin-Baylor (642). Southwestern A finished in fourth with a 680, Southwestern B fifth with a 706 and the University of Dallas shot a 760.
Ariana Chavez shot a 162 and finished in eighth place overall.
Allison McGinnis shot an169 and finished tied for 14th overall.
Shay West also shot a 169,
Addison Payne shot a 170 and
Aly Navarro shot a 178.
Camryn Kiser of Mary Hardin-Baylor finished first overall with 150.
The Cowgirls will be back in action at the ASC Championships May 1-3 in Whitney, Texas.
