Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team won on the road at Schreiner, beating the Mountaineers 6-1 on Thursday afternoon.
 
HSU took all three doubles matches for the point to start the day. Maddux Foster and Gavin Hail won 6-1 at second flight singles to start.
 
Gabriel Harris and Jameson Sorrell defeated Schreiner in the first flight singles match 6-3. Pedro Rozani and Connor Hubbert won the final doubles match 7-5 for Hardin-Simmons to sweep the first three matches.
 
Kayden Lengacher took the ace singles match and won 6-3, 6-1 playing Reyes from Schreiner.
 
Phoenix Davis won the second flight against Salas 6-4, 6-1 for the Cowboys.
 
Pedro Rozani played the won the third flight singles match 6-1, 7-5, and then Luke Leavelle got the fourth flight win 6-1, 6-2 over Gonzalez-Molina.
 
Jameson Sorrell finished the win with a 6-4, 7-5 victory in the fifth flight singles match against Thomas to make it 6-1 for the Cowboys on Thursday.
 
The Cowboys improved to 8-6 will play on Friday in San Antonio, Texas, starting at 10 a.m. at Trinity and playing at Our Lady of the Lake at 2 p.m.
