Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team took down the Schreiner Mountaineers 6-1 on Thursday afternoon to start the weekend 1-0.
 
The Cowgirls won two doubles matches for the point. Addyson Tylaska and Taylor Levy won the first flight of doubles in a 6-0 sweep against Schreiner, and Allie Dunn and Sydney Tomlin won the third flight singles 6-4.
 
Brenna Gordon had a win at first flight singles 6-3, 6-4 against Jamison. Emma Curiel won the third flight singles match 6-2, 6-1 playing Ibarra.
 
Taylor Levy continued with a win at four singles 6-0, 6-4 playing Bergeron. Abigail Diamond won in a split at five singles 6-0, 1-6, 10-8, and Allie Dunn finished the day up 6-2, 6-3 defeating Garcia in sixth flight singles.
 
Hardin-Simmons improved to 6-9 on the season with the win at Schreiner on Thursday. The Cowgirls will play at Trinity and Our Lady of the Lake on Friday in San Antonio, Texas, starting at 10 a.m.
