SAN ANGELO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' outdoor track and field teams ran at Angelo State on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Lenora Busby placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 9.09m (29.8 ft.). Busby led the Cowgirls in the discus at 126-2 ft.
Emily Perkins placed seventh out of nine runners in the 100m with a time of 12.55.
Mahdi Paige ran a 26.06 in the 200m for the Cowgirl team.
Riley Birck had a 1:01 time in the 400m for HSU women and
Ruthie Valdez ran a 2:36 in the 800m.
McKenna Fambro led the women's pole vault with a clear at 8-0 ¾ ft.
Haley Smith had a long jump of 16-9 ¼ ft.
For the Cowboys,
Gray Albrecht ran a 100m in 10.98 to finish sixth out of ten runners.
Gunner Helm was second in the high jump with a clear of 2.10m.
Nathan Mangual also placed second in the shot put with a throw of 15.66m, just 0.09m off the Cowboy outdoor record.
Jahymeer Larkins took second in the discus throw with a 51.29m throw.
Donovan Simmons ran the 200m in 21.74 seconds to place fifth out of 14 competitors.
Noah Bela had an 800m time of 2:02 to place fifth at Angelo State.
Kaden Landeros landed a long jump at 21-9 ½ ft.
Hardin-Simmons will compete next in a meet at the University of Oklahoma on May 2.
