BELTON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team ended the season at the American Southwest Conference championship tournament semifinal match, going down to East Texas Baptist 4-1 on Friday morning hosted at UMHB.
The Cowgirls split the first two doubles matches, with
Sydney Tomlin and
Brenna Gordon going down 7-5 to Ybarra and Macquet and the team of
Emma Curiel and
Addyson Tylaska winning 7-5 in the second flight. The Cowgirls dropped the point on a 7-6(7-6) loss in the third doubles match.
Emma Curiel tied the match up at 1-1 for the Cowgirls with a win at five flight singles 6-1, 6-1 playing against Anding.
ETBU would take the remaining singles matches for the 4-1 win in the ASC tournament semifinal to advance over the Cowgirls.
Hardin-Simmons ended the season with a record of 8-13 in another trip to the American Southwest Conference semifinals.
