BELTON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy tennis team will play against East Texas Baptist on Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. in the 2026 American Southwest Conference championship tournament hosted at Mary Hardin-Baylor.
 
The Cowboys finished the ASC regular season as the No. 3 seed and will play the No. 2 seed ETBU team in the first semifinal. The Cowboys went down in a tight match 4-3 to the Tigers just a couple weekends ago.
 
In the previous match, the Cowboys got wins in two of three doubles matches and at singles from Gabriel Harris and Payne Smith in the first and second flights.
 
The winner of the HSU/ETBU match will play the winner of Howard Payne and UMHB. The UMHB semifinal will be on Friday at 2 p.m. and the ASC championship match is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. in Belton.
