DALLAS, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl tennis team had four members honored by the American Southwest Conference in the end of the year awards, including Brenna Gordon named the co-Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.
 
Senior Cowgirl Brenna Gordon was named the ASC co-Sportsmanship Athlete, joining Nina Delafuente, Breanna Taylor, and Monique Ybarra. Gordon was additionally named to the all-ASC second team for second flight singles. She was 2-1 on the year in the second singles position in ASC play.
 
Three more Cowgirls joined the ASC second-team for singles. Senior Addyson Tylaska was all-ASC in the third flight of singles, going 2-1 in the flight in conference play.
 
Sophomore Emma Curiel was named all-ASC at fifth flight singles, and freshman Abigail Diamond was named all-ASC at flight six for singles. Curiel and Diamond were both 1-1 in ASC play and picked up some major wins for the Cowgirl squad outside of conference play during the spring.
 
The Cowgirls finished the year in the American Southwest Conference semifinal round last week against ETBU.
