ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl soccer team had three student-athletes selected to join the 2026 Brazil Tour, announced by Ron Smith of USA Sports Tours & Events, including tour schedule, teams, and coaches for upcoming USA D-3 Soccer Teams.

Maeve Connerty were selected for the USA D-3 team.
The USA D-3 Soccer Team invited NCAA Division III Women's players from across the country. This team is comprised of players recognized as All Americans, All Region, and All Conference. The 17 women's players hail from 9 different schools and 12 different home states. This team truly comes from coast to coast representing almost every part of the USA.
"Many of the players on this year's USA D-3 / Brazil Tour team had great individual seasons and led their teams into post season play."
"I believe that the players on this team will be some of the same players we see recognized as All Americans, All Region, and All Conference players in the Fall of 2026. This is an outstanding group of young women." says Ron Smith. "This tour is designed to expose players to a great soccer experience while providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for educational, cultural and social growth."
The USA D-3 Soccer tour will run from May 25 through June 3. The team will begin with orientation in Orlando, Florida on May 25 before the team flies to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that evening. The team is scheduled to play in the city and state of Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. The team will play four matches while in Brazil.
In Brazil the teams will experience educational, cultural, and social aspects of Brazilian life through city, school, and sports club visits. While in Rio the team will be staying on the world-famous Copacabana Beach and touring the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain, The Maracana Stadium, three of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.
