DALLAS, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl softball team had 11 student-athletes named all-ASC in the 2026 American Southwest Conference annual awards, including
Kinzley Cantu being named ASC Freshman of the Year.
Kinzley Cantu led the American Southwest Conference in batting average (.475), hits (57), doubles (12), and slugging (.633). She added 22 RBIs and stole 15 bases for the Cowgirls starting 33 games as a freshman out of Abilene high.
Kinzley Cantu was named to the all-ASC first-team in the outfield.
Ten Cowgirls were named to the all-ASC second-team for 2026, including seven Hardin-Simmons seniors.
Erin Love was named all-ASC at catcher for the Cowgirls. Love batted .347 in 21 starts with four doubles, two homeruns, and 11 RBIs as a junior.
Ella Salinas was another top-10 ASC batting average, hitting .391 as an all-ASC first baseman. Salinas led the ASC in RBIs with 36 on the season, and finished her career ranked third in Cowgirl softball history with 133 RBIs. Salinas was named all-ASC for the third time in her career.
Grace Thompson batted .400 for the Cowgirls as an all-ASC second baseman, which was ranked No. 5 in the ASC. She ended the season with 36 hits, 18 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases. Thompson was named all-ASC for the second time in her career.
Jazlynn Cantu was named all-ASC at shortstop for the Cowgirls with a batting average of .313 in 32 games. She hit eight doubles, three triples, and a homerun with 19 RBIs for Hardin-Simmons.

Emily Jacobs was named all-ASC in the outfield, batting .318 on the season. Jacobs had eight doubles, two homeruns, and 20 RBIs for eth Cowgirls while scoring 25 runs in the process. Jacobs was also named to the ASC all-tournament team for 2026. Jacobs was named all-ASC for the third time in her career.
Bailey Miller was named all-ASC as a utility player. She started 30 games and hit 24 RBIs with a batting average of .316 for the Cowgirls as a sophomore.
Gabby Montanez was named all-ASC as a starting pitcher for the Cowgirls as a sophomore. Montanez threw 58.1 innings in 11 starts with a record of 6-2, 23 strikeouts, and a 3.12 ERA on the year. Montanez was named all-ASC for the second time in her career.
Akaysia Grogan was named all-ASC as a starting pitcher for the Cowgirls. Grogan threw 66.2 innings in 13 games with a 9-4 record and led the Cowgirls with a 2.62 ERA. She pitched nine complete games with 41 strikeouts and had an opponent batting average of .230 on the year. Grogan was named to the ASC all-tournament team for HSU in 2026. Grogan was named all-ASC for the second time in her career.
Madi Hubbard batted .407 on the year which ranked No. 4 in the conference as an all-ASC at-large third baseman selection. She had 35 hits in 32 games with 17 RBIs and drew 11 walks. Hubbard was named all-ASC for the second time in her career.
Alyssa Lusk was named all-ASC as an at-large outfielder for the Cowgirls as a freshman. Lusk batted .455 with 25 hits in 28 games played in her first season. She had 12 stolen bases and added seven RBIs for the Cowgirls.
