LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl softball senior third baseman
Madi Hubbard was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) all-region third-team for the 2026 season, announced on Friday by the association.
Hubbard was named to the NFCA all-region team at third base for her senior season. She was also named to the all-American Southwest Conference team for third base for the third time in her career.
Hubbard batted a career-high .407 for the Cowgirls, which ranked fourth in the conference for batting average. She totaled 35 hits in 32 games for the Cowgirls, drove in 17 RBIs, and reached base via walks 11 times. Hubbard also finished her senior season with career-highs in slugging percentage at .488 and on-base percentage at .469, adding three doubles and two triples.
The awards honor student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region. Coaches may nominate a maximum of eight players from their squad.
