LA CROSSE, Wis. – Hardin-Simmons' Cowboy outdoor track and field team senior high jumper
Gunner Helm was named a first-team All-American in the high jump at the 2026 NCAA championships hosted at UW-La Crosse on Friday.
Helm placed eighth overall in Division III with a clear of 6-9 ft. (2.06m) in the 2026 NCAA championships for outdoor track. Helm finished his career as an All-American once again, this time on the podium for Hardin-Simmons.
The Cowboy 4x100m relay team of
Donovan Simmons,
Derrick Crump,
Jah'Shon Williams, and
Gray Albrecht finished in 42.61 for No. 15 in the nation at the NCAA championships.
The Cowboy team will finish up at the 2026 NCAA Division III outdoor track and field national championships on Saturday at 11 a.m. with
Davare Payne competing in the triple jump.
