NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' had eight students named 2025-26 American Southwest Conference Distinguished Scholar-Athletes of the Year, the conference office announced on Monday.

Jacqueline Berry,
Harrison Foster,
Benny Lube,
Belle Floyd,
Addyson Tylaska,
Kaden Landeros, and
Lenora Busby were each named the Distinguished Scholar Athlete of the Year in their respective sport by the American Southwest Conference.
Asher Fleming had a 3.96 GPA finance major and averaged 12.1 points a game for the Cowboys this year. He was named second-team all-ASC and ASC all-tournament for Hardin-Simmons.
Jacqueline Berry had a 4.0 GPA in sports management and was a double All-American for the Cowgirls this season. She was the ASC player of the year with 15.1 points and 6.7 rebounds a game, and was a WBCA and D3hoops.com All-American as a sophomore for the Cowgirls during the 2025-26 championship season.
Harrison Foster held a 3.90 GPA in finance and was named a Campbell Trophy finalist, an AP All-American, D3football.com first-team all-region, first-team all-ASC, a Cowboy football team captain, and CSC academic all-district during the Cowboy 2025 championship season.
Benny Lube had a 4.0 GPA in sports business graduate school, and was named United Soccer Coaches all-region, first-team all-ASC at forward, and ASC all-tournament for the Cowboys championship season.
Belle Floyd finished with a 4.0 GPA in psychology, and was named third-team all-region by United Soccer Coaches and first-team all-ASC in the midfield, helping the Cowgirls to another ASC championship in 2025.
Addyson Tylaska ended with a 4.0 GPA in education, and was named all-ASC at second-team singles for third flight on the season for the Cowgirls.
Kaden Landeros had a career 3.78 GPA studying exercise science, and was a top competitor for the Cowboys in the long jump and sprints, joining the Cowboys as an NCAA qualifier in the 4x100m relay team.
Lenora Busby had a 3.73 GPA in biology as a freshman, with multiple ASC women's field player of the week awards as the most consistent Cowgirl thrower on the season.
The conference also recognized a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team in each championship sport, honoring student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement while serving as a starter or key reserve for their team. Members of each sport's Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team comprised the ballot for the overall Distinguished Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, which were voted on by the Conference's Sports Information Directors.
