ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' Cowgirl cross country team had five members run at the 2026 ACU Naimadu Classic on Friday night in Abilene.
 
The Cowgirls ran a 4k on Friday, led by sophomore Ruthie Valdez with a time of 18:22. Valdez placed 16th out of 39 runners at ACU.
 
Hope Fuentes ran a 4k in 20:38 for Hardin-Simmons, and Faith Miller ran a 22:14. Alexis Heckathorn finished in 24:42 for the Cowgirls and Audrey Ngo also ran for on Friday night.
 
The next Hardin-Simmons cross country meet will be at Schreiner on Sept. 19 in Kerrville, Texas.
