Hardin-Simmons competes in the
South Central Collegiate Cycling Conference under the umbrella of
USA Cycling. The SCCCC includes teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. There are DI, DII, and DIII universities represented in the SCCCC. In total, there are 11 collegiate conferences in the United States.
Â
Beginning in 2025, HSU will compete as a varsity-level program in the disciplines of mountain biking (fall) and road (spring). Each season consists of approximately 4 regional races, plus nationals. Aside from competing in the SCCCC, HSU will compete in other local and national races, including disciplines beyond mountain and road.
Â
USAC races have different categories, allowing riders to compete with others within their same level. As a rider gains points at races, they can move into higher categories. From beginners to professionals, HSU is dedicated to help each athlete improve and reach their goals.
