Biography

2013:  De la Torre made 11 starts for the Cowgirls whileappearing in 23 games her first year at HSU.  She compiled 10hits, five RBI and scored five runs.  She had two extra basehits on the year and had a season-high two hits twice lastyear.  Had two multi-hit games, once against UMHB and theother against Howard Payne.  High School: De la Torre had agreat four years at Brownwood High for Coach Sheffield.  Shewas a three-time selection to the all-district team for infielders,and all-state selection, as well as being named Sports WritersAssociation’s Offensive Player.  She is the daughter ofLuis and Victoria de la Torre.  Has a brother Nathan and asister Noeli.  Decided on HSU over St. Mary's, Arkansas PineBluff, and Ouachita Baptist.  She is a biology/ pre-PTmajor.
