Cecily Woolfolk

Cecily Woolfolk is in her second year as the assistant coach for the Hardin-Simmons women's basketball team after being hired on in June of 2024. 

Woolfolk was the graduate assistant for the Cowgirl team from 2021-24. She coached on the Cowgirl staff that was named the ASC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2022 under head coach Kendra Whitehead. The Cowgirls won two ASC Championships (2022, 2024) and made three appearances in the NCAA Tournament (2022-2024) while Woolfolk was on the staff. 

She previously served as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater Southwestern University in the 2020-21 season. 

Woolfolk played for the Pirate basketball team from 2016-2020. She was named all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Association each of her four years at Southwestern as a center and finished her career scoring 1,408 points, 753 rebounds, and 104 blocks, averaging 13.3 points a game. She was on the SCAC academic honor roll every season at Southwestern. 

Woolfolk is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Southwestern with her undergraduate degree in psychology in 2020. She picked up her masters from Hardin-Simmons in 2023 studying kinesiology, sport, and recreation.
