Grace Hanson was named the head coach of the Hardin-Simmons University Spurs dance team in July of 2026 and is a proud Hardin-Simmons alumna.
During her time on the Spurs dance team, she served as both social chair and co-captain where she strengthened her passion for dance, leadership, and her faith.
After graduating in 2021, Grace continued sharing her love for dance by teaching dancers around the Abilene community. She also serves as one of the coaches for the Abilene Maidens dance team that represents the Abilene Gladiators semi-professional football team. Outside of coaching, Grace’s greatest joy is being a mom. Motherhood has strengthened her passion for leading with compassion and patience.
Grace believes the college dance experience here at HSU is about so much more than performing. She is passionate about helping dancers grow in confidence, character, leadership, and lifelong friendships while pursuing God and His purpose for our lives.
Above all, Grace believes that God’s love is the foundation and prays each dancer leaves the program knowing they are deeply loved, created with purpose, and capable of pursuing the dreams God has placed on their hearts.
