Josette Villanueva joined the HSU athletic training staff on June 1, 2026 and will primarily work with volleyball, women's basketball, and dance.
Villanueva has athletic training experience working with football, soccer, and softball at Abilene Christian University, as well as volleyball at The University of Texas at San Antonio and multiple sports at Trinity University.
Villanueva is a native of Devine, Texas where she graduated from Devine high school. She has a bachelors of science in kinesiology from Abilene Christian in 2025 and a masters of athletic training from ACU in 2026.
