Box Score 2 ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' baseball team fell in both games of a doubleheader to the University of Dallas Crusaders on Tuesday night, 4-3 and 9-0 at John J. Hunter Field.
Dallas scored on in the first inning of game one before the Cowboys had three in response. Jeremy Colon doubled to score two and Craig Symmes drove in another run to make it 3-1 Cowboys after one.
The Crusaders plated two in the fourth and one in the fifth for the decoding 4-3 victory in game one.
Raby Hampton started and had the loss in game one with three strikeouts. Andrew Hernandez finished for the Cowboys.
Colon and Hunter Garrison each had two hits for the Cowboys, Garrison with a double and triple. Colon had two RBIs to lead the team on the double. Colin Ethridge also had two hits with a double in game one.
In game two, the Crusaders won 9-1. Ethridge led the Cowboys with two hits and an RBI in the final inning.
The Cowboys fall to 9-21 on the year and will play the UMHB Cru at John J. Hunter Field in Abilene starting Friday at 7 p.m.
