Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' baseball team won 11-1 against the Schreiner Mountaineers on Tuesday afternoon.
Jeremy Colon drove in a run in the first to make it 1-0 Cowboys. Colon singled home another run in the third, and Schreiner answered with one of their own making it 2-1 after three innings.
Garrett Frazier doubled in a Cowboy run in the fifth and the seventh innings, and the Cowboys added seven more runs in the final innings to get the win 11-1.
The Cowboys scored 11 runs on 15 hits at Schreiner. Zach Hudson had four hits and an RBI for the Cowboys and Frazier had four RBIs with three doubles. Colon and Craig Symmes each had two RBIs for the Cowboys on the day.
Kadin Croak was the starting pitcher for the Cowboys and had two strikeouts with one run allowed in three innings. Wyatt Tumlinson pitched the next three and had two strikeouts in the win. Raby Hampton finished the game and had a strikeout in the last nine innings.
The Cowboy baseball team improves to a record of 6-14 on the season and will play at Sul Ross starting a three-game ASC series on Friday at 7 p.m.
